Breaking news.....Jim Leyland, manager of the Detroit Tigers has resigned to end his 8 year tenure of that club!...Was it forced?...Most likely....If his managerial career is over, he leaves with a World Series title ( Florida, now Miami Marlins ), 2 American League pennents ( Tigers ), and 3 NL Eastern Division Crowns ( Pittsburgh Pirates )....He, in my opinion was HIGHLY over rated....He won his only World Series title with Wayne Hyzengas assembly of millionaire free agents!...Has failed in Detroit with a wealth of talent.....and never won in Pittsburgh with what was the best young team in baseball!.....He does NOT deserve a spot in the Hall of Fame in my opinion!.......He was @ best, a middle of the road manager!
