Breaking news: Pipeline company files for injunction against community group blocking drilling in Burnaby. COME PACK THE COURT! Today (Friday) 2:00 pm in Vancouver. News story: vancouversun/news/metro/Kinder+Morgan+takes+Burnaby+protesters+court/10340463/story.html From BROKE (on Thursday): Kinder Morgan/Trans Mountain Pipeline has filed for an injunction against BROKE (Burnaby Residents Opposed to #KinderMorgan Expansion) and several others, to stop us from protesting on Burnaby Mountain in the Conservation Area, at Drummonds Walk Stoney Creek and elsewhere. There are about 1,000 pages of documents filed and the hearing is scheduled for tomorrow - we have less than 24 hours to prepare! We are very fortunate that our lawyer Neil Chantler, who is representing BROKE in our NEB (National Energy Board) intervention, has agreed to represent us tomorrow. He has been giving generously of his time, and we urgently need to raise money to cover legal costs. Donations can be made via Paypal on the BROKE website: burnabypipelinewatch.ca
