Breastfeeding in public, how do you think you would handle a situation of someone telling you (whether you were covered or not) that they didnt allow breastfeeding where you were? How can moms get comfortable with feeding their babies when they are out even if they are afraid of harassment? Join us tomorrow at 2pm Eastern/11am Pacific as we chat right here on TLBs Facebook page with Katy Linda, IBCLC from The Breastfeeding Den and Bebe au Lait talking all about getting comfortable with breastfeeding from the get go, long term, and out and about. For a long time I thought I must have just exuded confidence and a dont mess with me vibe and thats why I was never harassed in public about feeding my baby. Then it did happen as I was feeding my 6th baby one day, ironically, when I was at a break between sessions at a conference where I was speaking on breastfeeding. Im grateful for that experience, much like the author of this piece, it helped me be more aware of what other moms experience and to do what I can to help moms figure out what makes them comfortable in their journey.
