Brenda Wilson challenged me to list my reasons to be thankful. First of all it is impossible to list all the reasons in one short FB post but here goes some. First I am thankful for our living God who has promised us an eternity, thankful to live in the United States of America and for our Ancestors who fought so Bravely so we could practice freedom of religion and set up a Government fair for all. We need to Pray for our Country and that God will give us the leaders we need as we have left these early ideas. I am thankful for my family the wonderful parents who made us the people we are today, constantly assuring each of us we could anything we wanted to do if we set our goals and out heart. They were there to share their lives with their neighbors and friends, we always had folks at our house on Saturday night baking cakes and cooking for a big lunch on Sunday and practicing for singing at church on Sunday morning. Mama, always Made sure we were there in our best dress. I am thankful for the sacrifices they made for our education and the transportation and produce world who allowed me to be a Woman in a mans World in the 70s. I am thankful for all the wonderful People who have influenced my life and have treated me like family. Hiram and Susie Folds influence and support was so important in my life when I so desperately needed it! God has blessed this family as they have been a blessing to so many others. Friends come into your life at just the right time but we must pay it forward, look for someone to help everyday. Meeting Judy Hughes when moving in to North Shore and she introduced me to DAR was a blessing. I knew this was my Organization when I heard at the first meeting our motto was; GOD, Home and Country. This is the organization of the past and the future and present whos goals can influence our youth and citizens and remind us of this Countrys wonderful Historic past. The business family who are a big part of my life as we celebrate the wonderful births of the Grand Children and their growing up. The changes in all our families. I am thankful For Mike and Melinda and the love they share. Grateful for all our drivers who help make up the company. My beautiful Family who are always there. My new extended family members I am thankful we have found each other. My Dear Friends here in Georgia who have been my family since 1983, Shishi Sheren was my first friend and her baby girl Meiya John Brentari. I am blessed by their Love and friendship. Amy Reece Salyer Keeney Gave me three of the biggest blessings in my life, three little girls who I love so much. My DAR friends are wonderful, they are the most loving, generous and Supportive ladies ever. Thankful for the life God has given me and the ability say or do for others. There is no way to count all your blessings, God knows your heart and your prayers say and extra prayer of Thankfulness today.
