Brentford 5-1 St James (Ealing Cup) A good solid victory for the lads who played some excellent football at times and created plenty of chances on a 3G pitch, which allowed the game to go ahead. We took a 1-0 lead when Eugene hammered one home giving the keeper no chance to save. 1 became 2 when Eugene hassled the defender, won the ball from him and then was in turn fouled in the area to earn a penalty. Marcus stepped up and slotted home with supreme comfort. It was 3 before long when Lee took a pop shot from distance which the keeper failed to keep out. St James managed to claw one back through an own goal which was unfortunate for us to concede as it was a mixup at the back. Our comfortable lead was restored before half time when Eugene played Nigel in and he dummied the keeper and left him for dead before slotting home for 4-1 just before half time. The goals calmed down in the second half but there was still time for a 5th when we counter attacked brilliantly and Eduardo burst down the right and slotted a perfect pass through to tee up Lee who hit it first time with his left foot past the keeper.
