Brethren,it rained cat and dog here today but we dared the rain to attend mass.it was not just the ash but to come back to God as we were asked to do in the first reading.I encourage all of us to use this opportunity not just for the season of lent but throughout our journey here on earth.let us make use of the sacraments in Church,i know that some of us may question so many things and happening in the Church but we should not allow individual mistakes of some people to lead us away from faith.Christ will never allow the Church to err because He is the head of the Church. I also noticed that some Catholics here do not know that today was ash Wednesday,i met some shouting if today was that when i went to town from mass,some friends also pulled my legs and teased me about my faith because they saw ash on my forehead .The ash also became a tool for evangelism when a lady from Ethiopia and an Orthodox asked me what is this, Some of us dont even know the doctrines of the Church,that is why people tell us fallacy about the Church and we buy ,because we are ignorant and dont want to know,lent is another good privileged. to start again,to know and to do them All I am saying is that,I am convinced about my faith,we should not allow any wind to carry us along,we should study about the Church and Her teachings.our separated brethren are busy telling us about the individual mistakes of some of our brothers and sisters ,as if the Church was responsible for that,they failed to understand that salvation is personal,and the Church is not for saints but for sinners to come and be made saints in the Church and theirs are even worse . Let us pray for one another and the Church that God will renew us and the Church, protect and lead the Vicar of Christ(Pope),draw men to Himself,bless the Church with gift of vocation. Finally,I encourage all to be calm,prayerful and know that you are in the right place .God bless us.
