Bridget McNeill – January , 2002 – June 26th, 2013 Our 140# pure bread, mutt whose mother was half black lab and half Golden Retriever and her father, a pure bread Weimaraner, passed away today at the age of 11+. She is survived by her family, friends and an entire neighborhood at whom she barked when they walked by her home. Much less, all of the delivery people she scared half to death. Sorry delivery people. Bridget loved kids and was known by many in the neighborhood. She was a devoted protector and family member and helped protect and raise our family. Only one little old lady with a weird looking, little, toy something or other will not miss her. Bridget always wanted to eat that dog – but she never would have. It is one of my saddest days as Bridget was my dog. She greeted me with extreme enthusiasm every day after work like she had missed me for years. I fed her over a dozen disc golf discs over 30,000 throws that were delightfully chewed apart and or swallowed. A tennis or lacrosse ball was thrown at least another 10,000 times. She ate and destroyed them on a regular basis. It was a time we shared every day of her life up until the past year that she has slowed down and or stopped.(If you have ever had a dog until death you know what I mean as she has begun to expect us to pick her up off of the slippery floor-we did.) There will never be another dog like Bridget AKA: Bridgey Bridgey Boo boo dog, Shnuggles, Wonder dog bug eater, Kitty, Deer chaser, Frisbee hound, Puppy, Bubba, Girl, Stinky dog, Thump, Lovey and BEST DOG EVER! She was loved by so many and had so many great attributes. We will all miss her and cherish the memories of the love she provided. The tears flow as I write.
