Bridget and Alexander Jones and Marie-Faith Fiawoo made the fateful decision that day to walk past a site owned by Grocon– a company with no regard for safety, a company that puts profits first. Grocon has admitted it is guilty of a crime in court today. But they negotiated a deal to avoid a trial, and will walk away with a small fine that amounts to a slap on the wrist. The union was fined over $1 million for speaking out and protesting against Grocon over safety issues.
