Brief interview I did with AEE Live Bulletin. Original topic was the supposed hack by ISIS of US CentComs twitter and youtube accounts--to which I flippantly replied that family infighting is common, and that maybe their paychecks were late, or maybe John McCain didnt send a big enough fruit basket over the holidays. Then it branched into the French situation, so I took the opportunity to point out that so many of these death squad groups are funded and trained by western intelligences, and that we should be very skeptical of anything that adds fuel to the fire of empire trying to ramp up the Clash of Civilizations bullshit. Remember that *globalized* *militarized* Islamic jihad--unlike the religious tenet--is a creation of the west, by funneling 100,000 fighters through Afghanistan to destabilized the Soviets and then sending them all over the planet. It really is cynical and hypocritical for the west to try to frame this as being about free speech or defending western values when they are conducting an all out war against the people of the global south--a war against China, against Russia, against the people of East Ukraine, against Cuba and Venezuela... a war to completely destroy Libya, to attempt to destroy Syria... Some US military twitter account means nothing--this is a tiny thing in a huge war. Lets keep keeping our eye on the ball, people. Should have posted a couple days ago--sorry.
