Brief update about Ebola from my brother, David Ostler, who is the LDS Mission President in Sierra Leone Africa. Keep these wonderful African people in your prayers: A brief update on our situation. As you have probably seen from the media, Ebola continues to spread within West Africa and Sierra Leone. The media is pretty sensational and on the ground things are calm, peaceful and safe - for us and the missionaries. We have strong experts helping us and the Lord is directing the work. We have peace and confidence as we move forward. The situation is very sad. This is a country with traditional beliefs that hamper relief. We have a very poor health care system and lack of skilled resources. We know people who have and are being affected and we have tears for them. We will be fasting this Sunday especially for them, the missionaries and the country as a whole. If you joined in as you were able, in any way, we would appreciate it. We continue to be grateful for serve here and love the work along with the challenges.
