Brigadier General Mohammad Ali Allahdadi of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards was martyred by an Israel a military helicopter attack in Quneitra, Syria. Some important Hezbollah anti-ISIS figures were martyred in the attack as well. Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari, commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, warned Israel of the devastating response. Israeli military sources are making it plain this was a mistake, and not the sort of mistakes on purpose Israel tends to do. Rather, they say, they had no idea there was an Iranian military officer was in the convoy they attacked. Analysts say directly assassinating a senior military officer has threatened the tacit understanding Israel and Iran have had, in which Iran doesnt retaliate for repeated Israeli attacks on Syria.
