Brilliant scholar. There are three themes in the history of the Israeli/Palestinian ( Jewish/Muslim/ Christian)/Arab, that were very much left outside: one is about the whole process of Refugees: how, where, under what laws the returning was prevented -like the one of infiltration- etc. Other is the relationship between the new Israeli Nation and the new "Israeli Arabs" and the process of alliances between them. And the other theme is about the part of the resposability of the Arab Nations, which clearly did not do much about it, and the wrong doings of Arab leaders that created a lot of confussion and provoking stampeeds out of the villages. When we look at history we tend to oversimplify. History can be anything but simple.
