Brindleyplace will be screening Wimbledon live on its outdoor screen in Central Square from today (23/06). Wimbledon 2014 will see British champion Andy Murray compete to keep his title. Last year, thousands of people crammed into Central Square at Brindleyplace to watch the men’s and women’s finals, cheering on Murray and giving the estate its busiest two days since records began. Marketing manager at Brindleyplace, Lydia Ellis, said: “It seemed like the whole city came along to Brindleyplace last year – tennis fever was certainly at an all-time high! The way the Birmingham community got behind Andy Murray last year was fantastic and I know that everyone has high hopes for him to do just as well at this year’s competition. This will be the second year that we’ve shown Wimbledon on the outdoor screen at Brindleyplace and it’s a great way to kick off summer in Birmingham.”
