Bringing the Outdoors Inside #thinkingoutloud #themodernthinksoutloud Olafur Eliasson does not paint landscapes, he creates them. For his latest installment at Denmark’s Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Eliasson has recreated a riverbed with dirt, stones and a nearly dried-up stream of water. The exhibit is incredibly large, taking up several rooms in the south wing of the museum. The most interesting part of the exhibit is the visitors’ interaction with it. The riverbed is not only to be seen, but also explored. Visitors must crawl through squat doorways and over mud and stones to see the full exhibit. The installation has been described as a “stress-test of Louisiana’s physical capacity,” but it is also a stress-test for the audience.
