Britain in remembrance of the one hundredth anniversary of the start of WW1 stuck ceramic red poppies in the ground. Each one was to represent a soldier from Britain and the commonwealth that died in WW1. That totaled 888,246. The reason for the poppies is that Flanders Field was filled with them. There was a poem about this. I will put it below. But anyhow when you see what 888,246 of these look like it is sobering.
