British-Croatian Society Meet-Up Thursday 4 December Following our successful Meet-Up in October, our next one will be on Thursday 4 December, at the Chandos pub in central London. The intention is for people with any form of interest in Croatia to meet up, socialise and have a chat over a drink in an informal atmosphere. Whether you are a Croatian resident in London or someone who has recently visited Croatia for the first time and want to know more, this event is for you. One topic of conversation will be the forthcoming play at the National Theatre, 3 Winters by Croatian playwright Tena Stivicic. The play is set in Zagreb. It will have just opened, and some of us will have seen it. This is a major Croatian cultural event in London, so come and discuss it and find out what people thought of it. If theatre is not your thing, there will others there to chat on different subjects. The event is of course open to both members and non-members. It provides an excellent opportunity for anyone to come and meet BCS members and even to join if they so wish! We will be at the upstairs bar. BCS members Brian Gallagher and John Pindar will be there from the start and you can find us by looking out for Croatian symbols. We’ll be there between 7PM and 10PM. The Chandos is a well-regarded establishment, located next to Trafalgar Square and has most reasonable prices. Come along for a drink and a chat about all things Croatian!
