British Sufi Group spirituality…Welcome to Sufism, the present genuine spiritual master of Azad Kashmir khalifa [, Sufism president] pir Shaykh murshid dervish fiqeer sufi sultan Mahmood Qadiri, Naqshbandi Chisti, Suhrawardi & Awais al-Qarani class /order tariqh spiritually in possession of spiritual goods, surrender, faith, excellences, reality, wisdom, in bliss for all kinds of humans …British Sufi Group through Islamic belief and law-Shari’ah attain to the highest qualities of the spiritual human and to be free from ourselves ‘degenerated ignorant’ of ego-nafs, we need Islamic science Sufism. To realize the inner thirst for the greatest truth and to achieve the great truth, we need Islamic science Sufism. To express the greatness of inner truth we need Sufism and to explore our self-nafs, we need Sufism. Why Sufism? Because Sufism is the only thought which is ever present in highest modern time & age in advance reality of truth further beyond, beyond our modern thought of mind and failure of perceiving Sufism guidance, have caused chaos among us, because of human forging and manipulation, but Sufism is pure, purely from Last Prophet [s.a.w] of God? Sufism builds a relationship with Him and among us, nations, states and individual. The first and best spiritual teacher was God’s last final messenger, Muhammad (pbuh), and under his guidance, Sufism took shape and completed within Islamic knowledge and wisdom which than was to be carried on heart to heart of numerous pious righteous humans-Sufi’s of wisdom and knowledge, whose duty was to guide humankind in the way of Holy Quran and God’s last final messenger, Muhammad (pbuh) Sunnah. How can we know whether we are following the concealed desire of the false self (nafs) or the guidance of the heart? Sufism helps us to know it by giving us guidance of truth upon truth and to know Sufism is to know your self-nafs way of life. Do you know your ego-nafs way of life? When our hearts soften at the remembrance of Allah [Qur’an, Az Zumar 39:23], the nafs acquires the qualities of servant hood and humility in relation to the Divine Majesty, and the heart becomes sensitive and expansive—expansive enough, in fact, to contain the whole universe. “The heart of the faithful is the throne of the Merciful” and true a heart is in contact with Spirit spiritually. Sufism (tasawwuf) offers the purification of the heart: from the psychological distortions; from the slavery to the attractions of the world, from veil that is the self and its selfishness and from Diverting oneself and one’s attention away from God, Allah. We are engaged with the attractions of the world; we are not sitting, but running after the world things, money, lands, woman’s, food, gold, silver, cars, etc, and if we; “Make all our cares into a single care, and God, Allah, will attend to all our cares.” are you close enough for me to whisper in your ear or so distant that I should shout?” “I am behind you, before you, at your right and at your left. I am sitting next to you and whenever… he/she ‘remembers Me, [God-Allah], and I [, God-Allah] am with him/her when he/her calls me’. God-Allah is with us but we are not with God-Allah. How many of us are with God? “How could I worship what I have not seen?” replied;”Our eyes cannot see Allah directly, but the heart can see Allah through the realities of faith-Iman. Sufism Sufi’s turn toward heart enter the world of spiritual qualities and “It is they on whose hearts He has inscribed faith, and whom He has strengthened with inspiration from Himself…” [Qur’an, Al Mujadila 58:22]. Anyone who has explored his/her inner life to a certain extent is faced with a mystery. The mystery is two different dimensions exist- an outer world (zahir) and the inner world (batın) and the human being is suspended between these two dimensions. “The heart” is an intelligence that reaches beyond the intellect, heart is the mirror in which divine qualities and meanings appear. Everything of true significance is happening within us and the heart occupies a position intermediate between the nafs (false self) and God- Allah. If the heart is sensitive, living, awake, and whole; it becomes the treasure for the qualities of God-Allah. In this, ‘behold, there is indeed a reminder for everyone whose heart is wide-awake–that is who lends ear with conscious mind’… (Qur’an, Qaf 50: 37). Truly, in the remembrance-ziker of God-Allah, hearts find peace. Greatest Sufi woman saint, Hz. Rabi’a, the greatest woman saint of the Sufism, said: “I am fully qualified to work as a doorkeeper, and for this reason: What is inside me, I don’t let out. What is outside me, I don’t let in. If someone comes in, he goes right out again—He has nothing to do with me at all. I am a doorkeeper of the heart, not a lump of wet clay.” The heart may be sensitive or insensitive, awake or asleep, healthy or sick, whole or broken, open or closed. In other words, its perceptive ability will depend on its capacity and condition. How can we know whether we are following the concealed desire of the false self (nafs) or the guidance of the heart? Sufism is the path of those who love. The lover is someone who is purified by love, free of himself and his own qualities, and fully attentive to the Beloved [s.a.w]. Without love nothing great would be accomplished, whether spiritually, artistically, socially, or scientifically and “The Sufi sees nothing except God-Allah in the two worlds.” In the words of Abu Muhammad Muta’ish: “The Sufi is he/her whose thought keeps pace with his/her foot – i.e., he/she is entirely present: his/her soul is where his/her body is, and his/her body is where his/her soul is, and his/her soul where his/her foot is, and his/her foot where his/her soul is. This is the sign of presence without absence. ‘He - She is absent from him/her self but present with God- Allah.’ He-She is present with him/her self and present with Allah.”Physically in this world in God-Allah Worship but spiritually with God-Allah. Humanity today is suffering under the greatest tyranny of the ego-nafs, of the false self-nafs. Some of us “worship” innumerable false idols, but all of them are forms of the false self-nafs to materialism, selfishness, and unconsciousness of our age which has in turned our backs on God but towards man made Gods. So we need Sufism – to Purify our Soul and the Tassawwuf is which gives Purification of the Soul. “Indeed he succeeds who purifies himself…” [Ash-Shams (The Sun) 91:9]. Allah SWT tells us in the Qur’an, in Surah Tawbah 9:103 that charity causes the heart to be purified. Charity extinguishes the sins as water extinguishes fire. The purification of the heart is to engage our hearts in righteous actions. Abstaining from indecent actions and sins by seeks repentance from sin, the heart is released from contamination, and the strength of the heart emerges. Sufism is a Islamic science of the understanding how the soul needs Allah through extra Ibadaah-worship and with better adaab-manners and Love in all our actions of Sunnah, to attain science of Ihsan-excellence in very moment and every action we do with the best of clean Intentions to please Allah and not our egos to show off or pleases others with our actions, etc. Indeed he succeeds who Zak-Kaha purifies his ownself, and indeed he fails who Das-Saha corrupts his ownself” [surat Ash-Shams, (Verses 9&10). He who purified his soul obeying Allah (S.W.T), and purified it from vices and bad manners, he succeeded. And he who corrupted it by immersing it in sins and disobeying Allah (S.W.T), he utterly failed. Ibn Abbas (R.A.). He said: He whom Allah (S.W.T) purified his soul, he succeeded, and he whom Allah (S.W.T) corrupted his soul, he failed utterly. The prophet (S.A.W), said, Oh Allah! Grant me the sense of piety and purify my soul as You are the best to purify it, You are its Guardian and its Master…[Imams Muslim and Ahmad}. ‘Indeed whosoever purifies himself shall achieve success [surat Al-Ala, Verse 14). Purified his soul from the evil morals and followed what Allah (S.W.T) revealed to His prophet (S.A.W). Similarly we have sent (Muhammad) of your own, reciting to you Our verses and sanctifying you, and teaching you the book and Al-Hikmah…surat Al-Baqarah, Verse 151).” Indeed Allah conferred a great favor on the believers when He sent among them a messenger from among themselves, reciting unto them His verses, and purifying them … [surat Al-Emran, (Verse 164].” spiritual cleansing, growth, and blessing; cleansing the soul from corruption, and growing it with the belief in Allah, and by doing good deeds and refraining from doing evil so that the soul will be blessed in this world and in the Hereafter. Corruption makes the soul filthy with sins and disobeying Allah (S.W.T). Doing all the bad traits in this world and the severe punishment in the Hereafter and man success depends on purifying his soul, and that failure is the result of corrupting the soul. The prophet (S.A.W.) confirmed that mans righteousness or corruption starts with the heart. If the heart is righteous, man becomes righteous, and if the heart is corrupted, man becomes corrupted. The prophet (S.A.W) says: Truly in the body there is a lump of flesh which, if it be good, the whole body is good, and which, if it be corrupted, the whole body is corrupted. Truly it is the heart{Imam Bukhari]. The prophet (S.A.W) said: Trials are presented to the hearts like a mat, one stick at a time. If any heart accepts it, a dark spot is left in it. If any heart rejects it, a bright spot is left in it. Consequently, the hearts become two types: Bright heart like the Safa that gets no harm from any sin as long as the skies and the earth exist, and a dark heart that does not know any good deed and does not reject any evil unless it is from its whims and desires{Imam Muslim}. The heart was made by Allah (S.W.T) to be the place for reasoning, contemplation, peace, calm, belief, pity, mercy and receive grace. Some of us …have hearts but don’t have understanding of it…? He it is Who sent down As-Sakinah (tranquility) into the hearts of the believers” [surat Al-Fath, (Verse 4). The day whereon neither wealth nor sons will avail, except him who brings to Allah a clean heart” [surat Ash-Shura, Verses 88 & 89]. the Noble Quran that it is a cure and healing for heart sicknesses: And We send down from the Quran that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe… [surat Al-Esra, (Verse 82) . …There has come to you a good advice from your Lord (the Quran) and a healing for that in your breasts (the heart)… [surat Yunus, (Verse 57 ]. The best heart turned in repentance (to Allah] surat Qaf, (Verse 33] and bad heart has Diseases of doubts which corrupt its vision to stop one to not gain correct understanding and belief of Islamic science Sufism. The bad heart has Diseases of whims and desires which dominate and control the heart but there is a cure for this disease for everyone who has the correct understanding and belief of Islamic science Sufism. The diseases of the the heart gives corruption of the hearts and with this corruption, people get corrupted, and with the peoples corruption, the society gets corrupted; life is then transformed to a life of misery and hardship and it comes to point of a failure in this life and in the Hereafter. The Practical Means for Tazkyiah (Soul Purification) is heart turned in repentance, Tawbah (to Allah]; Charity extinguishes the sins as water extinguishes fire; charity causes the heart to be purified and to to engage our hearts in righteous actions of Qur’an & Sunnah. Abstaining from indecent actions and sins also lead to the purification of the heart. When one seeks repentance from sin, the heart is released from contamination, and the strength of the heart emerges. Tasawwuf - Purification of the Soul and the Realities of Sufism sufi souls, so Sufism is the purification of our nafs, heart and soul as prescribed in the holy Quran by Allah. Allah says, Khadh aflaha man tazakka (the one who has purified (his nafs) has won’ Quran: 87:15). May Allah help us to be one among pious righteous Sufi’s of Sufism? Sufism is love towards Allah; the love that could not be explained but only experienced. The love for Allah, is as preached by the great Awliyas (Friends of Allah), should born in our hearts, and it should born in our own self. Our very existence is from Him which Insha Allah, one can comprehend only with the help of the Faiz (blessing) of a perfect pure pious righteous Sufi Shaikh (Spiritual guide). Sufism is the purification of our nafs, heart and soul of all those things that are not liked by Allah. Allah doesnt like anything other than Him residing in our hearts. So, Sufism is purifying heart from the thoughts of creations. Sufism is the Sunnah way, which teaches us to think of Allah, so much that we should forget ourselves. Our Prophet (Peace be upon Him), who is the Habib-bleoved of Allah, asked us to ‘remember Allah, so much that others would start to call us as insane people’ [Saheeh Muslim]. Hazart Rumi, Mansoor ibn Hallaj, Muhyaddeen Abdul Qadir jeelani, Khaja Muyinuddin Chishti, Amir Khusroe (RA) , the early great Sufi’s, and their life and way Sunnahof living but we never think of what made them so great and so different from others? Sheikh Muhyaddeen Ibn Arabi, said: Al abdu abdun fa in taraka, war Rabbu Rabb,(A Slave is a slave, even if he reaches the peak and the God is God]. Purification of the Heart and Sufi is a key to the secret of human life and what closes the doors of the heart is fear, confusion, depression, spite, discouragement, disappointment, and a troubled conscience; and when that is cleared away by a pious righteous Sufi, the doors of the heart open. The sensation of joy is felt in the centre of the breast, as is the heaviness caused by depression. Therefore as long as the breast remains choked with anything, the heart remains closed. When the breast is cleared of it, the heart is open. It is the open heart which receives the reflection of all impressions coming from outside. It is the open heart which can receive reflections from the divine Spirit within. Also, it is openness of heart which gives power and beauty to express oneself; and if it is closed a man, however learned, cannot express his learning to others. Sufi who is not materialist, who don’t take money or any other material things is a pious Sufi who through the Qur’an & Sunnah knowledge build within the sever ant of God a divine love to grow in his heart. It is the removal of the element which gives a bitter feeling. Just as there is poison in the sting of the scorpion and in the teeth of the snake, so there is poison in the heart of man, which is made to be the shrine of the shrine which is as though dead from its own poison; for God to arise it must first be purified, and made real heart alive. The soul who had to sympathize with the whole world was thus prepared, that the drop of that poison which always produces contempt, resentment, and ill-feeling against another, was destroyed first, try to understand British Sufi Sultan with open heart & mind to attain purification of the heart pure means to be free from all evil thought, but in reality there is no evil thought; and if there is any such thought, which one could call evil or devilish, it is the thought of bitterness against another in his/her heart by means of the ego-nafs! If a drop of poison can cause the death of the body, it is equal to a thousand deaths when the heart retains the smallest thought of bitterness. In this legend the cutting open of the breast is the cutting open of the ego-nafs, which is like a shell over the heart. And the removing of that element, ego-nafs, means that every kind of thought or feeling against anyone in the world has been taken away, and the breast, which means the heart, is filled with love of His beloved [s.a.w], which is the real life of heart to be towards one God-Allah. Truly who purifies the inner-self succeeds, and who corrupts it fails! - The Quran and I have been sent to perfect good manners ...Righteousness is good character; - the Prophet Muhammad [s.a.w]. Coming into the presence of Truth (Al-Haqq), one has to have Adab is courtesy, respect, appropriateness. Adab is not formality; it helps to create the context in which we develop our humanness. Every situation and relationship has its proper adab: between students on the path, in relation to family members and elders, in relation to ones shaikh, etc. None of you will have authentic faith until your hearts are made right, nor will your hearts be made right until your tongues be made right, nor will your tongues be made right until your actions be made right” [Saheeh Hadith]. To be Straightforward with sincerity and truthfulness. . To be aware of and have regret for our own faults, rather than finding fault with others. . To be free from the preoccupation, worry, vanity and ambition over the world and the worldly. . To be indifferent to the praise or blame of the general public. . To do what one does for Gods sake-not for the desire for reward or the fear of punishment. . To adopt an appropriate humility and invisibility in public and in the meetings of the dervishes. . To serve the good of ones brothers and sisters with all ones physical and other resources. . To seek to heal any wound you may have caused to another, and to correct any misunderstanding within three days if possible. To strive to increase ones knowledge of Sufism (the Gnosis, the Marifa, the Knowledge of God and self) . To be willing to struggle with ones ego as much as it prevents one from following proper adab, and to realize that the greatest ally is Love of Muhammad [s.a.w] to love of Allah. . To seek instead to make ones practices more and more inwardly sincere, rather than outwardly apparent….The example of those who remember Allah and those who do not is like the living and the dead.” He has succeeded who purifies himself (Quran 87:14)… Allah Most High says: . . . . My slave approaches Me with nothing more beloved to Me than what I have made obligatory[, fard] upon him, and My slave keeps drawing nearer to Me with voluntary [, sunnah-nafl] works until I love him. And when I love him, I am his hearing with which he hears, his sight with which he sees, his hand with which he seizes, and his foot with which he walks. If he asks me, I will surely give to him, and if he seeks refuge in Me, I will surely protect him (Sahih al-Bukhari. 9 vols. Cairo 1313/1895. Reprint (9 vols. in 3). Beirut: Dar al-Jil, n.d., 5.131: 6502) …Sufism science of ikhlas or sincerity, is so urgently needed by every human today because on that day when wealth will not avail, nor sons, but only him who brings Allah a sound heart (Quran 26:88).
