Brockville Chamber to Recognize Jim Cooper! The Brockville and District Chamber of Commerce is proud to recognize the outstanding achievements of the businesses, organizations and individuals who make a difference in our community. We are pleased to announce the recipient of the 2013 Award of Excellence for Citizen of the Year, Mr. Jim Cooper. In addition to being the President of Canarm, Mr. Cooper is a dedicated community volunteer that supports many important causes in the Brockville area. He is currently the Co-Chair of the Friends of Pallative Care Golf Tournament, which raised a record $255,000 in 2013. He also sits on the Board of Directors of the YMCA of Brockville and Area where he serves as Past Chair. Mr. Cooper is a model citizen in Brockville and someone that the Board of Directors are honoured to bestow this award upon. We look forward to celebrating Mr. Cooper with his family and friends at the Awards of Excellence Gala being held on Thursday, November 14th at the Brockville Memorial Centre. We will also be announcing the recipients for: Business of The Year, Small Business of The Year, Community Excellence Award, Green Business of the Year and the Tourism Award.
