Brooke and I just went to Old Navy. Im not going to claim that we got out without incident, nor without making our presence known to everyone within a three block radius of the dressing room, because, well, we didnt. I am, however, going to tell you that we did it. That she tried on shorts and tops, chose the ones she wanted (and, quite vocally, the ones she didnt). That she happily colored at the crayon table between the dressing rooms both before and after said trying on. That we bought three tank tops, three pairs of shorts, five sparkly hair elastics, a container of whatever the heck Mars Mud might be because she asked for it really nicely and Im a sucker, and a Hershey bar because apparently Old Navy has decided to further torture its customers by selling candy, all for $29. And that when we walked out and I said, That wasnt too bad, right, kiddo? she said, I liked coloring, and that, well, Im marking down a win, damn it. (I have no connection whatsoever to Old Navy.) #winning
