Alpha & Beta Scholarship of Gamma Tau The Delta Sigma Phi-Gamma Tau Chapter of Eastern Michigan University will be awarding a onetime scholarship (award value TBD) to a male or female student; whom is the son or daughter of an Alumnus of the Gamma Tau Chapter. The applicant shall be entering their Freshmen or Sophomore year of college at any University. The applicant will be required to write an essay. The essay shall be formatted with the following: •12 Point Font •Times New Roman or Arial Font •Double Spaced •1 Inch Margins •Four Pages Minimum - Six Pages Maximum •Title of Your Creativity •Honesty in Writing The contents of your essay should describe yourself; tell us a story of yourself as if we are old friends catching up for the first time in a long time. Describe what you enjoy in life and what you have done over the past four years of your life. The essay shall also include information on the following subjects: High School Academic Performance, High School Involvements (i.e. Sports, Band, and Clubs), Community Service Performances (i.e. Blood Drive Coordinator, Coaching, Community Clean-up, and Mentoring/Tutor), Desired University, Desired Major, and Initiative for College Involvements (i.e. Greek Life, Clubs, Band, Intermural Sports, etc.). Paper must be electronically submitted using THIS FORM by July 30th, 2013. The Alpha & Beta Scholarship recipient will be announced on August 17th, 2013 during the Delt Sig Alumni Golf Outing. The awarded value shall strictly be used towards scholarly use and shall not be used for personal use.
