Browsing through my news feeds, I couldnt help but notice how UNBELIEVABLY IGNORANT people have become to what is considered proper english, grammar, spelling, and punctuation. These are rudimentary lessons taught to children from a grade school age. Have we all become so wrapped up in pop culture that we have forgotten the english diction? Slang terms show a lack of vocabulary, therefor a lack of understanding of english literature. I believe it was Merriam Webster that founded the common day english dictionary not Y.M.C.M.B, though unfortunately bling bling was put in the dictionary. Which I find absolutely ridiculous. However, do any of you realize how idiotic you sound running around yelling YOLO? Wait, but hold on here, what? You only live once? I was under the assumption I had 8 more coming to be after this one. Damn it, that really messes up my game plan. (Shucks, Snaps, & Knee Slaps) Everyone do yourself a favor today and either, A) Pick up a book and read a few chapters. OR B) If for some strange reason you dont have access to a book, you obviously have internet access or else you wouldnt be reading this post. Find an online book or news journal to read. Then after A or B, try to use some words you read that are outside of your everyday vocabulary (assuming that you can reuse them in a correct context). You will truly be amazed at what you can learn in a very brief period of time and how refreshing it may feel to speak intelligently. As Einstein said, You never stop learning.
