Bryan D. Smith for congressional district 2. This is a post about how I used to buy into Mike Simpson. 12 years ago I went to a Bonneville County Republican Womens event and met Kathy Simpson. She gave me, and a handful of other ladies, this lovely recipe book and shared stories of her grandmother and the Blackfoot Women Woolgrowers. She was kind, her recipes tried and true, and I knew that Idaho was well represented in the US House of Representatives with her husband at the helm. That was 12 years ago and a lot has changed, ESPECIALLY her husbands politics. I think I felt I was like many of you when I thought, Vote for the republican incumbent. He will represent conservative Idaho politics of small government and low taxes. Well, for several years he received a 80% rating from the American Conservative Union. This year, a whopping 46% rating based on how NON conservative his voting record was. Raul Labrador has decidedly refused to endorse Simpson. What will you decide?
