Bryce Dallas Howard Heads to Disney’s Remake of ‘Pete’s Dragon’ Source: FirstShowing.net:– When the first trailer for Jurassic World arrives next week, we’ll likely get to see Bryce Dallas Howard in some capacity along with a peek at the new dinosaurs on the scene. But now that Howard has dealt with prehistoric specimens, she’s ready to move on to mythical creatures. THR reports the Spider-Man 3 and The Help star is in talks to take a role in Disney’s remake of the 1977 classic Pete’s Dragon. The film already counts the legendary Robert Redford as part of the cast, along with child actors Oakes Fegley as the title boy and Broadway star Oona Laurence as his friend. So who will Howard play in the updated version of the tale? Well, the actress will be paying a forest ranger who finds the boy in the woods and doesn’t believe his stories about a dragon who has raised him after his parents died in a car crash. While the original film was set in a fishing village at the turn of the 20th century, this one takes place in a forest where loggers are tearing it down, likely threatening to expose the dragon Elliot as they move closer to his habitat.
