Bubs got cleated during last nights game and has a pretty decent gash across his chest. I asked him how that happened since he wears the protective compression shirt underneath his pads. He says I dont wear it, its uncomfortable. So, puzzled, I ask him why hes been bringing it back & forth from practice & washing it every night (and also gave a speech about how expensive that gear was, blah blah blah). He finally gets aggravated and says, Mom, I let some of my team mates borrow it for games & practices because they really need it and have nothing. Then I hug him. This 13 yr old kid has been coming home and washing someone elses sweat off of that gear for a month now without ever saying a word. Thats the kind of young man he is. Im just in awe. ❤
