Buddha was born in Kapilvastu, Lumbini. When Buddha was born there was no country called “Nepal” nor “India”. Kapilvastu was a part of Indian subcontinent (part of south Asia). Indian subcontinent includes Afganistan, Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh. In present, Lumbini is in Nepal and it is false to claim Buddha was born in India. Making a serial “Buddha”, showing life of Buddha and spreading Buddhism to the world is a good thing but stating Buddha was born in India “Giving false information about birthplace of Buddha” or “to show the world Buddha was born in India” is not good. Truth should be spread rather only saying Buddha was born in Nepal. I shared because I agreed, do share if you agree too and want to spread the truth.
