Bufc forum post - The problem is if we sack Hawkins then he will probably take half of the squad with him. By the sounds of the most recent games it sounds like it might not be a bad thing. But the last thing we need is not enough players turning out. I believe there are a lot of local players who could do a job, and it amazes me that some of them I know have never been approached. Bedworth always has been a local club and it needs to stay that way. But we need to be a club players want to play for, from what I have heard about the Piggon situation it was entirely the managers fault for upsetting him. I remember the team of a few years back was a solid knit bunch of lads who would die for the shirt and eachother, now we have a mish mash of people who have never played together, and a lot have no connection to the area or the club, who Id imagine couldnt care less about the pride of Bedworth and the fans as long as they are picking up a pay cheque. Something needs to change and fast before we go from the best season of our history to by far the worst!!
