Buhari, Tinubu, Kwankwaso Will Defect To PDP – Sen Adeyemi Chibuzo Ukaibe — Aug 21, 2014 The Senate committee chairman on Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Sen. Smart Adeyemi, yesterday threw a jab at the opposition, All Progressives Congress (APC) predicting that most of their leaders, including Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu and incumbent governor of Kano will defect to PDP after APC presidential convention. Smart Adeyemi, who represents Kogi West on the floor of the Senate, stated this when he paid a solidarity visit to the national chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Dr. Adamu Mu’azu. Sen. Smart said “ I have a vision that people like Buhari, Kwankwaso, Tinubu will come back to PDP after the opposition’s convention. People are calling for President Jonathan to declare for 2015 and I ask where are his opponents. PDP should not bother about Jonathan’s declaration, he is already crusing to victory.” While he pleaded with the PDP national chairman to accommodate the APC chieftains when they defect, Sen. Smart added “the only thing sustaining the opposition is their congress. When they have their congress they will start defecting.” He however noted although the opposition is needed in the country, it must be for the progress of the country and must help to entrench democracy. He however flayed incumbent governors who fly around in privates jets while their is unemployment in the polity. He charged such governors to sell the jets and use the proceeds to create jobs. He however declined to mention names of such governors. On his part, Mu’azu stated that PDP will continue to remain the dominant party in the country. and continue to position Nigeria for greater heights. “ I feel encouraged by your commendation and we shall continue to work, to ensure we retain our position in the polity. “We shall continue to rule this country and develop it under President Goodluck Jonathan. We shall continue to guarantee security of lives and property. “In the next 100 years, Nigeria will emerge not only the leading country in Africa, but the world.”
