***Build A Better Partnership Workshop*** 1st-2nd March In association with Vicky Anderson Pilates For Riders Create better harmony between horse and rider. Ever wondered how straight you are on your horse? Want to know where your weight is distributed and why? Want to know how balanced your position is? Or iron out specific positional faults? The workshop comprises of British dressage trainer and rider Tara Osborn BHSAI who will work to improve rider position, communication between horse and rider develop suppleness and softness through structured exercises to increase and enhance performance. To enable our horses to perform to the best of their ability the rider must sit with an independent seat and be supple through the back without tension through the joints in the body. Complimenting Tara’s training Vicky Anderson will run group Pilates for rider’s session focusing on improving posture off the horse with exercises to help strengthen your position in the saddle. Vicky will also hold a mounted Pilates session this will enhance position and balance whilst on your horse. There will be a session discussing correct rein contact how to achieve it, how the horse responds to contact typical contact issues and what can be done to resolve them. This will include a practical session on establishing and maintaining a good rein contact. Finally do you ever receive your dressage test score sheet and wonder what the comments are all about?? The workshop will include a session on understanding judges comments and how to put these comments into practice to improve marks. There will be an explanation of the common comments and their real meaning. The workshop is flexible to suit individual requirements and is open to all levels and abilities. Stabling is available and riders can stay on site.
