Building Update: November 2014 Along with the Pictures, here is some additional details. Please continue to pray for our project: Building our Future United in Christ. Thank you Dick, Carol and all of the team working towards making this happen through the Holy Spirit. Thank you to all who have contributed and donated both financially, through volunteer work and through praying continuously for this project. Parish Hall • Scheduled completion is 1/29/15 - may be slightly earlier; • Walkway is being addressed, due to design and cost issues; • Kitchen equipment has been ordered; some is already in contractors warehouse. Dishes, silverware, furniture have not yet been addressed; • Lighting in Assembly/Dining area has been upgraded to dimmable LED for utility savings, and to avoid frequent changing of fluorescent lamps 16 feet above the floor. LEDs will have a life of 30+ years; • Classrooms/Meeting Rooms, corridors, and baths will have occupancy switches to keep lighting costs lower; • New septic system is required - installation will begin mid-October; • Currently negotiating features and costs of building security and communications capabilities; building will be fully wired for future needs, but some equipment will need to be deferred. Landscaping: will take place in early Spring. We will have a beautiful facility, to be proud of! Cemetery: • Steps have been taken to recover about 2/3 of the cemetery area: 9 Tons of lime were spread, followed by soil conditioning, fertilizing and re-seeding (80% fesque, 20% annual rye); • Hope to be able to begin burials next Spring; • Balance of cemetery area will be finished when the county approves our stabilization efforts;
