Bulletin: Thrive or Survive: Well today just was one of those days you say to yourself this is the last straw but I know it is not because otherwise I would be six feet under and there are no straws there! This seems to have been the mantra I keep in mind for the past 2 years after being diagnosed with peritoneal cancer. I would like to challenge the public to put out an all points bulletin for the LEFT hand that my HMO has lost! I know there is a RIGHT hand because I have a clear picture that I am the RIGHT hand! I manage my own healthcare by constant (and now under the most stressful conditions) and dogged persistence and perseverance. I did not come to the conclusion just today that fixing a broken system that was meant to care for the members and customers to thrive under their care of a highly over loaded HMO membership, lack of qualified staff and physicians...no I have personally experienced this for the past 5 years, and for the past 2 years with this diagnosis. How do we fix a broken system? We talk about it! We write about it, we compare plans when open enrollment is available, but will the next plan be any better? I dont know...but if you all see that LEFT hand out there please report it!
