Bullying is rampant in Maldivian schools. Recent reporting of the bullying incident at a Male school has highlighted the extent to which bullying goes on.I admire the child and what the parents have done. We must all have zero tolerance to bullying . Bullying in school....workplace...or Facebook. Necessary actions must be taken against all those who were involved in that bullying incident and all others. BUT I want to raise a concern..instead of ganging up against this teacher (against whom necessary action should be taken after investigation)....and bullying and shaming her..let us all put our heads together on how best we can address the issue of bullying...what should we do to deal with it...let us begin engaging in a productive discussion.I hope a NGO or even the ministry would initiate a dialogue on it so that rules/ regulations...which are implementable are developed or revised. Bullying needs to be addressed. Bullying need to be prevented. Bullying must be stopped. .
