#Bungie update #Destiny fans on current affairs Bungie have made a few changes to Destiny, and some of you may have noticed your weapon of choice being either a little bit stronger, or a little less stronger, but Bungie want to explain why. In their notes, which weve linked below, they start with;- Let’s talk about why we do these things. I’ve talked to a lot of our developers about the update that went live. The main theme that emerged from every conversation can be summarized like this: “There should be no single answer for how to win in Destiny.” They make a fair point in the blog post about how each gun is different, and while one excels in one area, another may be better in another area, and the key word theyre emphasising is balance. Balance is not about everyone being equal, but rather that not everybody is doing the exact same thing. If everyone is doing the same exact thing, something is not balanced. Everybody is trying to pursue the same unbalanced thing. That makes sense to us. If there was only ONE gun worth using all of the time, why would you use any other? Everyone would be using the same gear and loadouts, and then life wouldnt be much fun, would it? Anyway, you can see a list of tweaks in the post, where they detail changes such as these: -Base damage of your Auto Rifle was decreased by a whole 2% -Base damage of your Scout Rifle was increased by 6% -Base damage of your Shotgun was decreased at maximum range Theres a tonne of other information worth checking out, if youre an avid Guardian, so make yourself a cuppa, find a nice seat, and get reading.
