Burgas – another nice city with a beautiful beach but this time there was no swimming! We went to visit Sozopol, a small but charming city south of Burgas. I liked the houses, the way they were built, with stone and wood. After two days in Burgas we said goodbye to the Bulgarian coast and were on our way to Buzludzha and Shipka monument not far from Stara Zagora. The view from up top was really wonderful. We spent the night in Plovdiv and explored the city a bit. Visited it´s famous amfitheatre from the Roman empire and came across a nice handmade product festival. After Plovdiv we went to Samokov. Our plan was to go to see the Seven Lakes in the mountains but we came too late. In the morning we found out that the lift wasn’t working – they were repairing it so we decided just to hike a bit around Borovets in the Musala peak direction. On our way back to Sofia we stopped at the amazing Iskar lake.
