***Burglary Alert*** At approx 6.10pm last night on Wilshaw Gr, Ashton an offender puts his arm through the cat flap in an attempt to get the keys which were in the back door. The occupant sees the offender from an upstairs window, as he opens the window to shout, the offender throws a handful of gravel at the occupant. He then makes off either through the gardens on Downshaw Rd or over the playing fields on Wilshaw Lane. Police & dog handlers attended within minutes but the offender was gone and the dogs couldnt pick up his scent. Due to it being dark we have very little description of the male, were you in the area?
