Buried Beneath Wheat and Sky Would you like to play a picture - TopicsExpress

Buried Beneath Wheat and Sky Would you like to play a picture game, Where we identify items in the clouds? Others see angels, boats, and bears... I spy a dog about to die. I cannot tell you with words The loneliness that swirls around me - It compels my hands to fever And my mind to paint. The sky will not cry, If the crows steal my easel. It is tired of being painted Without permission or retainers. Those birds will fly back. They have one last job to do. The scrawny man with a scarecrow hat Needs a good mocking and his straw ripped out. No tree roots and trunks or gardens – A proper end to my unwatched show. Only the worms and the plow Will applaud my final portrait. Poetry of Simon Johann Andresen © Permission to share with credit To Facebook Page of same name. Painting by Vincent Van Gogh, Wheat Field with Crows, 1890
