Burpee variation [transferable to breaking/training strength mixed with explosive & anaerobic movements] // [1 Burpee X 10 Double Unders] X 10 rounds!Breaking is hard to develop specific training programs for using typical conditioning guidelines. Many sports (not that breaking is a sport but Im addressing the physical aspect of it) are easy to break down into sections ie. aerobic, anaerobic, strength, power, muscular endurance etc. Breaking however encompasses all of these & requires extreme ROM, stability and proprioception throughout. The issue now is how do you incorporate the principle of specificity into conditioning? You could just do rounds of breaking which is as specific as you can get, but thats how you cause injury due to overuse of certain joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons etc. Which is what commonly happens. The key then is conditioning in a way that will transfer to you physical abilities and limitations as a Bboy/Bgirl allowing you to push harder, longer and cleaner in the cypher/ battle/show, or all of the above depending on your needs, WITHOUT injuring yourself. And no Im not saying backtucks are bboying lol - but they do train power & proprioception/the vestibular system ;-). Anyways, just messing around with concepts! #nkfit #getwetsociety
