Business Coaching Tip: Just spoke with a client on how to overcome initial sales resistance: when making a cold (or warm) call to a company. One of the best lines that you can use is..."would you be open to", instead of would you be interested in, or would you like to. (I.E. If you ask would you be interested in meeting and they say no then the conversation is over. If you say would you be open to meeting and they say no, then you can very inquisitively ask, "Your not open to (insert your benefit here)"...I might say, "So your not open to learning how to increase your revenues by 41% this year??).
