Business Lending Support Officer Cumberland Building Society, Carlisle, Cumbria Salary up to £21,485 per annum (depending upon skills and experience) This role is an excellent starting point for someone looking to progress their career in the business lending sector. In addition to undertaking some of the administrative tasks for this busy department, the successful applicant will assist with day to day management of the existing business loan book as well as obtaining and analysing financial information from some of the Society’s business customers. The role will also entail providing assistance with a variety of lending-related projects undertaken by the department. The successful applicant will ideally have: • A financial services qualification or a degree (desirable but not essential). • Good communication skills both written and verbal together with the ability to apply these effectively both internally and externally. • A good knowledge of Word and the manipulation/interpretation of data using Excel • A basic knowledge of how the SME sector functions. • Ambition, and they will thrive on a challenge. • Self motivation together with the drive and determination to succeed as part of a cohesive team. • The ability to contribute on a wide range of lending issues. There will be an opportunity for the successful candidate to study for the Certificate in Business Banking and Conduct. The hours of work will be: Monday to Friday 8.45 am to 5.15 pm.
