Businessmen hate taxes, but forget about corporate privileges - TopicsExpress

Businessmen hate taxes, but forget about corporate privileges bestowed upon them by the state. Feminists hate inequality but fail to address the root of it (hint: its not just patriarchy that is only a symptom of the underlying disease), and some are clearly against equality. Libertarians are for liberty, but cant define it clearly and without major disagreement within their camps - their minds are so open their brains have fallen out. Objectivists fetishize reason but end up fetishizing the abdication of their own minds on a whim in reality. Religious folk are lost in the clouds, unable to understand the importance of the here and now because they are so focused on an afterlife they have no evidence for except the tattered imaginations of old men of long ago. Academicians are supposed to be making the truth clear and training people to think critically, but instead muddle everything and teach people that everyone is entitled to their opinion (especially if it sides with the status quo). Artists are supposed to inspire, but instead sing drivel about dancing in the club or that its the end of the week, or sell trash as sculptures as a comment on humankind (really its a comment about themselves). Scientists are supposed to be understanding the natural world, but mostly just parrot one another and make up pseudo-scientific bullshit to get government grants. The military branch of government is supposed to be protecting us, but points the gun at us to keep us safe. Spiritual masters think enlightenment is like becoming a plant, or a mindless atom rather than having a deep and wise understanding of many things (because those who do possess an enlightened mind understand that the way we learn is reason, not revelation or faith and yet also has great respect for the richness of Nature, and never tire of Her). Ethicists concentrate on telling us that the right thing to do is what everyone but you tells you to do, (i.e. the rules are what is important not rational scrutiny of our own and others consciences) instead of teaching us how to develop our own moral compass through experience and reason. Technologists are supposed to be liberating mankind with automation, but instead are selling us into slavery. The list goes on and on and on. Humanity: thy name is Folly and Frivolity, when it ought to be Dignity and Industry.
