Busy, busy, busy (Cats Cradle,Kurt Vonnegut). Mucho music just ahead. Tonight the Dixielanders (a 10 or 12 yr old band I helped to originate) is the opening act for a weekend of pro jazz at the Landings Yacht and Tennis community. Tomorrow night my Blue Dirt play a Mardi Gras party/dance at the Dunes CC, Sanibel. Sunday morning, we play two Mardi Gras services at the Sanibel Congregational Church (our fourth consecutive year). Tuesday I play tuba for the Red Sox (spring training) with the Dixielanders. Thursday I play trombone in a pickup band, opening a pro golf tournament at the Fiddlesticks community. Did I mention Monday? This Monday or next I begin playing trombone with a small Dixie combo at the Lakes Fairways golf community. This pretty much continues thru March (the height of tourist season down here). By the first of April I will be ready for that new shoulder. dt
