Busy day with the hoggies today :) Plumped up all their beds with extra hay to insulate them if they decide to go into hibernation. I decided not to dig the garden hogs out of their beds to weigh them as it would destroy their hiberniculums - with the exception of Billy who came in for his bath and treatment today. The Garage girls and boy (Edgar) are doing well. Fran continues to put on weight. Ethel and Edgar also are thriving although Ethel has tested positive for worms so has started medication - much to her disgust :D Delighted to report that Freyas babies have put on weight since they first came in. When they first arrived they weighed 51, 54 and 41 gms each. Now they weigh 318, 362 and 338 gms so very pleased with them. Churchills lung infection has cleared and he is slowing down on eating so I think he will go into hibernation soon. Margo and Bertie are still up and eating - as is Molly but all looking good on night checks Mickey looks like a football!!!! he really needs to hibernate soon to lose some weight - he waddled across the garden last night - happy as larry. He should be good to go as soon as he wakes up from hibernation in the spring. Just prepared and put out 9 bowls of food - 3 bowls of biscuits and 3 bowls of milk.
