"But also in the fine print of the costings document – as we pointed out – was an even bigger $4.6bn cut from axing federal funding for public transport. We already knew Abbott wasn’t going to fund urban rail projects, but here we had the full and costed cuts to Melbourne metro rail, the Brisbane cross-river rail, Perth urban rail public transport and the Tonsley Park public transport plan for Adelaide." It is going to be a sad reflection on the majority of Australians if this Liberal National coalition gets elected, as they are due to. Selfish brutish policies from a party that is about to inherit one of the most economically sound nations in the world, the Liberal party want to cut back on foreign aid which helps our fellow humans to survive in situations so bad that we could not even begin to comprehend from our over exuberant luxurious western lifestyles, and then they want to pull funding from public transport, the staple of sustainable infrastructure with a multitude of benefits including but not limited to equity of access for Australia less fortunate poverty stricken and less abled folks who cannot afford or are not able to drive cars (which spew emissions into the atmosphere and slow down productivity through the increased congestion caused by poor planning and lack of public transport). How did we get to this extreme. And how is it that THIS INFORMATION IS SO FREELY AVAILABLE AND WE ARE STILL ON TRACK TO ELECTING THESE VISIONLESS SELFISH PRICKS.
