“‘But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land, those you allow to remain will become barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will give you trouble in the land where you will live. And then I will do to you what I plan to do to them.’” -Numbers 33:55-56 *the journey from slavery in Egypt to the promised land took about 480yrs due to the Israelites continuous sinning as they wandered around the desert. despite his 120yrs Moses did not even have a glimpse of it & the successor Joshua led in the conquest & distribution of the promised land. the stubborn Israelites did not drive out all of the inhabitants as God ordered because they wanted their own slave workers. those they kept are the Palestinians of this day -forever a thorn in their sides due to their disobedience. :-(
