But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Phillipians 4:19 We read this verse and say amen, but do we really believe it? Let me share a story with you that just happened this weekend to me. My electric stove decided on Friday morning to quit working properly. I had a hash brown quiche in the oven baking when my broiler decided to come on too. The stove started beeping and flashing an F2 code. We later learned that was the warning code for excessive heat. I shut off the oven and removed the quiche, but the broiler kept going. My hubby quickly removed the drawer and reached under and unplugged it. After trying to plug it back in and the broiler coming immediately on, we knew we had a problem. My hubby and I began looking for the manuel and of course we couldnt find it. So he started taking the control panel apart to get a part number and the internet search was on. We found the circuit board that was suppose to replace ours(though it had changed) and it was $150. We had to decide do we spend $150 for a part that might or might not work or do we buy a good used stove or a new one(which wasnt in the budget). This is when I decided to pray. Now some of you might question why I would pray about something as silly as a stove, but my God tells me that everything in my life is important to Him and that as His child, He wants to supply my needs. So I prayed. My hubby called an appliance place to see if they had the part(they didnt) and then to see if they had a good reconditioned stove. They had one, but the guy said it was dented and had a broken knob but it worked and was only $199. Now trust me, I dont care about looks as long as it works, so this seemed like a good option. But you know, God had something better. I decided to look on Craigslist just to see if there was something on there(and this is where the story gets really good) and guess what? There was my stove! Yep, the exact stove I had and only $100. It had just been listed by a lady on the southside. I called and she said it was left in the house she had just bought and she already had a stove so she was selling it. She had made sure it worked before she moved it to the garage and it was in great shape. Whoohoo! The stove is now sitting in my kitchen and to be very honest with you, is even nicer than mine. Mine had been used alot and this one is like a new stove. God met a need that we had and He not only met it but met it abundantly! Dont ever doubt that God doesnt care about the mundane, little things in your life, because He does and He is ready to supply what we need.
