But now, O LORD, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are - TopicsExpress

But now, O LORD, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand. -Isaiah 64:8 A man of God is not easily made. He is not made overnight. He must be broken, tried and proven to be true before he can stand with the purity of Gods heart. No theology, no shouting no short cut is available to a man who truly aspires to be like Christ. Who trusts a general who has no memories of war? The greater the war and battles one has endured the greater the glory in times end. Are you struggling? Are you coming to God with the same prayers day after day? Know this. He is breaking you but only to remold You as He desires. He is waiting for the confession of our lips to ascribe to Him all that He is. That He is the potter, and He may do with us as He desires. The tension then lies within our heart. Do we believe we know what we need more than God does? Are we fighting to get exactly what God is fighting to break? Then there lies an invitation to surrender. Lord, You know best. I trust that You are the potter and you are crafting and making something too wonderful for me to understand. Thus, I lay it all down again, I gladly lay it all down. Bless Your Holy name O GOD!
