But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately BLOOD AND WATER came out (Jn. 19:34) Jesus answered, truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of WATER AND THE SPIRIT he cannot enter into the kingdom of God (Jn. 3:5) This is the One who came by WATER AND BLOOD, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the WATER AND with the BLOOD. It is the Spirit who testifies, because THE SPIRIT IS THE TRUTH. For there are three that testify: the SPIRIT AND THE WATER AND THE BLOOD; and the three are in agreement (1 Jn. 5:6-8)
