But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. 1John 2:27. You see, the only anointing you can completely trust is the one inside of you. You cannot say for sure what another person is carrying except the Lord confirms it to you. Ultimately, the Lord wants each of us ...to walk by that inner witness in us, that is why it is important to learn to trust in Him. You see, when you asked the Holy Spirit to fill you and He did, from then on He desires that no one instructs you but Him. Now this scripture doesnt mean stop going to church or having fellowship with other brethren, it simply means, receiving your instructions from Him alone. For example, I can teach you about giving and you learn alot, but the instruction to give what and to whom must come from Him. Dont depend on a man to tell you when, where and what to give. Same with every kind of instruction in your life. Sometimes the Lord gives us clear instructions, but when we share it with people they advise us otherwise and we feel they are more knowledgeable so we follow theirs and put aside what the Lord has said to us. Can you remember that Old Prophet and young prophet story in 1Kings 13? The Lord had clearly instructed the young prophet on how to go about his mission but he went against it by obeying the old prophet possibly out of respect, but it cost him his life. That is how many of Gods children are in confusion because they will not train their spirit to hear and follow Him.
