But the eyes of the Lord are watching over those who fear Him, who rely upon His steady love. He will keep them from death even in times of famine! We depend upon the Lord alone to save us. Only He can help us; He protect us like shield. No wonder we are happy in the Lord! for we are trusting Him. We trust His holy name. Yes, Lord, let your constant love surround us, for our hopes are in you alone. Psalm 33:18-22. Going through the Andrew Murrays 50day of waiting upon God series, am so convicted of not trusting Him enough. An average man has confident on one or two things or persons after God as a plan be in case God seems to delay. An average man fears even man than God. He sees man physically daily, but God he hasnt. But theres nothing as helpful as trusting upon God,have Him as our only hope for provisions, strength, courage etc. So many times one make the people around them their source of encouragement, they loose courage when others are not encouraging them. Its good and great to be encouraged from others and to encourage others. But what do you do when theres no one to encourage you? We are in the age where even in ministry everything seems done, the thought of provision from friends and family gives us much confidence, we are tempted to share our reliance between God and man, confessing our full trust in God which is not the whole truth! As you go this month, let the fear of God guide you and let your hope be upon Him alone. As a church, we are occupied by too many strategies and administrative skills that takes away the involvement of God unnoticed, because the place of hope in God alone have been silently taken away. God created us to fully depend on Him, am convicted of not fully trusting in Him this morning. I dont know about you? Be sincere, wheres your hope laid at? Yes, Lord let Wop constant love surround us, for our hopes are in you alone. A. T. Joshua
