But....there are many things that the Keene Sentinel and Free Keene are not telling you about Bitcoin. Funny how the story doesnt say Bitcoin is unregulated and no FDIC insurance, fluctuates up and down with no control and is in the hands of computer techies, who may or may not have your best interest in mind. Using it for savings is too scary, no FDIC insurance and the fluctuation is scary. The biggest use seems to be people think they can sell and purchase illegal items with no history of the transaction. Im not interested. I loved reading about the silk road case, the feds were able to seize 20 something million of the guys money easy as pie, like they said, they didnt have to use shovels and dig up his back yard looking for cash and they did not have to deal with foreign countrys as is the case when people hide money in offshore accounts. They also pointed out that it is not as anonymous as the people believe, once they got the guys Bitcoin wallet they have detailed records of every single transaction and with who the transaction was with. I will not be surprised just how many other criminals are now being investigated because of their Bitcoin footprint and easy to find records of transactions. Very sad when your so anti government that you think by not using U.S. currency you are sticking it to the man, all I know is, my PayPal works great for internet transactions, my bank account is regulated, insured & protected and the 20$ bill in my pocket will still be a 20$ bill tomorrow, no matter what happens with ups and downs of some cryptic system.
