“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they - TopicsExpress

“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with the wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 This world has deceived us into thinking that everything can be and should be done in a matter of seconds. Whether it is an email, a text message, or a social media post, we expect an immediate answer or instant interaction. It has inadvertently made us somewhat impatient. We can lose the essence of what it means to wait. We must never forget that things happen in God’s timing and no matter how hard we tap our foot or how many times we check our watch that it will not put God in a rush. Yet, sometimes, instead of just trusting and waiting, our impatience causes us to take matters into our own hands. That’s when things really become frustrating because we are trying to make something happen in the natural that must first be divinely ordered in the supernatural. Are we supposed to work while we wait? Yes. But, while we are working, we must do so with the understanding that we can’t accomplish it all within our own might. We will wear ourselves out that way. We must set out minds on God and know that our help is on the way.
